This is the "X" mark

chinese new year is near.
didn't really feel the mood sipping into me this year...
why?
too many school assignments to handle. don't think i can really enjoy much.
wasn't feeling well too... for the past week.
been having fever, off and on. 39°C out on the streets. and.... feeling very very tired.
top the tiredness with the worst... can't sleep.
Anyways... enough about the downhill week...
let's talk about the mark of the start of a chinese celebration of ushering the new year. piggy rite?

yesterday night, we had a reunion dinner with kumasan's coleagues.
there were about 21 of them.
they were so enthu" about the "Yee Sang" bit. they did it twice. there were 2 tables.
i didn't manage to snap pictures.. but all of them were crazy. non looked like proffesionals at all.^^"
so, these are the snaps that i took.

clams. didn't touch these. but kumasan said it was just normal tasting clams.

tasted like cuttle fish... not cure what it is... some seafood.

other than the ones that i snaped. we had a late salted egg crab plus and additional oh-so-salty "Bambi" meat.
and. fried rice, since our rice didn't come.

the only thing i enjoyed was, looking at giant seamonsters displayed in the centre of the seafood hall with kumasan, holding me.
the crabs are humongus, squatting like a king.
some japanese snails......round round and cute cute
gigantus tongue sticking-out creatures......it is called Geoduck...if i have not forgotten..
some nice pearl oysters...
some electric eels....quite fat. like the ones we get to see in Disney's The little mermaid's villian.

^^ i wouldn't go back there to have seafood.
i would, instead go back there to visit those seamonsters.
Teluk Gong - winner!
