Sunday Lunch Buffet @ Kampachi Equatorial

It's been awhile since we last had buffet. We've always wanted to treat ourselves to an authentic japanese feast, just to satisfy the urge deep down (in our stomach). Last week, our decision brought us to Kampachi, located within Hotel Equatorial.

Pretty glad that I made the right pick, after having a hard time choosing between Jogoya @ StarHill, Benkay @ Nikko and Zipangu @ Shangri-La. Can't say that Kimpachi is the best since I've not tried the rest, but I believe it's one of the finest.

Priced at a below-average charge of RM66++/pax, I must say it's extremely well worth. One particular downside which I was concerned, is the short time given (12.00pm till 2.30pm). Hey com'on, we are slow eaters, every extra minute helps, unlike some of you. :p

Here are the pictures we took on that 'auspicious' afternoon. You are adviced to view the below contents with a FULL stomach.

Our companions for that afternoon. Although they were late, I think they consumed as much food as I did. :S

Kok Hoe

Sai Chow

Sashimi & Sushi Bar

Sukiyaki Corner
(Further away is the ice cream parlour and drink-all-you-can orange juice counter)

Mochi (served piping hot! - watch your tongue)

Cold Soba (would have tasted better with raw quail egg yolk)

An assortment of tempuras (I'm an ebi(prawn) fanatic, had at least 15 of em)

Fancy a dish of Shake-cha (rice+salmon+sesame+seaweed in tea)?

Butter Fish Teppanyaki (I had FOUR of em....huhuhu :p)

Starters which usagi took (pretty, ain't they?)

Ahhh...more ebi tempuras :p

Chawannn-mushi! Right next to it, the cute lil' round looking thingy is in fact Yaki Onigiri

Nabe (something like steamboat)

Potato Korokke & Fried Breaded Chicken (yummylicious~!)

Four types of VERY FRESH sashimi (My personal fav - White Tuna, Salmon comes next)

Tako, the octupus!

A variety of Sushi

Mochi & Hot cakes (comes with peanut butter or red bean filling)

Chicken Sukiyaki (Fannnntasssticcccz~!)

Gyoza (tasted like the chinese ones :( )

Kok Hoe's Beef Teppanyaki (which he finished em up all by himself!)

Agedashi Tofu & Grilled Salmon

Here it is! My half-eaten macha(green tea) ice cream with redbean topping. Kinda turns ya off doesn't it? hahaha!

Oh yea, to add to all these, green tea actually requires an additional charge of RM3 per person. We dropped it and went with orange juice instead. Thus, we drank orange juice as if we were drinking green tea. The amount of juice we had makes me wonder how many oranges we had...
