Pawt Lak

If my memory serves me well, I think we (the SPians) had never participated nor yet organised any pot lucks before...Until the 12th of November, 2005 which marks the very FIRST "food competition" among ourselves. Some came up with cooking ideas which are close or even similar to the ones obtainable off the shelves *cough*. Others stuck to old-fashion cooking guide books and family recipes to make sure what comes out from the kitchen is edible. Well, I guess my dish is prolly the most odd one there, due to the fact that it's 100% genuine in terms of the preparation and ingredients mixing, specially crafted by two great minds *cough* *cough*.

The pot luck was made possible by Sze Chern, who sacrificed his house for our little food feast cum catching-up session...which eventually ended up into a card game competition (involving lots of leftovers). An intention to feed 10 growling stomaches turned out to be a 'nightmare' for us but a 'god's gift' for Africans. Thanks to Kok Hoe with his late-spaghetti, capable of jamming the tummies of 15 soldiers :p

Anyways, everything was great. Having dinner in a cosy place with a group of close buddies is priceless. A fun filled night with lots of laughter plus food made us last till the wee hours of 4.30am. Hope there are more follow-up events coming as we speak =) There better be!!
